About the Melbourne Dental School
The Melbourne Dental School offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in oral health and dentistry, as well as clinical specialist postgraduate training and an extensive suite of Continuing Professional Development programs. Clinical teaching occurs in the Royal Melbourne Dental Hospital, the Melbourne Dental Clinic, and a wide range of community health providers. The major research activities of the school are conducted via three Divisions and four major research groups, which range translational biomedical science to clinical studies, pedagogical research.

About the Role
The Academic Programs Coordinator is a member of the Academic Programs Team in the Melbourne Dental School. The team works collaboratively to deliver a range of administrative support functions to academic staff and students across the School. Under broad direction of the Senior Academic Programs Coordinator, the position coordinates end-to-end administration of all entry-to-practice coursework programs.

In a typical week at work, you may:

  • Coordinate the entry-to-practice program administration for components of the student lifecycle: orientation, enrolments, timetabling, LMS support, assessment, results, progression, special examinations and completions.
  • Coordinate interviews for student selection.
  • Provide advice to staff and students on student and program related policies and procedures and student administration processes and timelines.

About You
You are committed to providing excellent customer service through your strong work ethic. Your high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including a strong customer service ethic, the ability to provide advice and support to a range of stakeholders at all levels.

Ideally, you will further have:

  • An undergraduate degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative role that required coordination of a range of complex functions and provision of advice about policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and manage working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
