  • Based in Perth, Australia
  • Competitive salary and benefits

University of Western Australia (UWA) is among the top 100 universities in the world, number one in Western Australia and is one of Australia' s most respected research institutions. With the UWA 2030 vision identifying the best ways to build on our strong reputation for excellence in teaching, learning and research, the University is set to become an energetic centre for innovation, inspiring students, staff and stakeholders alike to make a global impact.

In support of UWA’s strategic vision, the Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) team works collaboratively across the University to embed philanthropic and alumni engagement activity into the University’s operations, ensuring its sustainability into the future. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, UWA now seeks an Director, Development, a key member of the DAR Leadership team who will have responsibility for the strategic direction, operations and delivery of a University-wide development program and the University’s high performing development team, building external relationships with major prospective donors and supporters to the University. UWA is about to embark on an ambitious growth plan and philanthropy will be a key pillar for development.

You will demonstrate experience in major and principal gift fundraising at a leadership level, gained within a higher education institution or similarly complex organisation. In an environment where you can make a real difference, driving philanthropy to a new level, you will have strong capabilities in staff management and stakeholder engagement, encouraging the University community to embrace advancement as an essential part of the University’s core business.
